2015 FESTIVAL Award Judges

Judges for the 2012 DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts are Judith Page & Paula Tognarelli.

Judith Page is an internationally recognized artist, curator, writer and educator living in Brooklyn, New

York. She has curated over 150 exhibitions; directed ACA’s traveling exhibition program; and

published criticism and essays in numerous magazines, books and catalogs. Page’s essay on Annette

Messager was included in A Sculpture Reader: Contemporary Sculpture Since 1980. She currently

teaches in the MFA Fine Arts program at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Page has

exhibited her art internationally including the exhibitions, The Photograph as Canvas, The Aldrich

Contemporary Art Museum; Disarming Beauty, Dali Museum; Peace Tower at the Whitney Biennial,

Whitney Museum of American Art; Kuf-Mold, Istanbul, Turkey; Beauty and Beast, Luise Ross Gallery;

and Night Walk, Lesley Heller Workspace. Known for her inventive use of materials and stimulating

social commentary, Page’s exhibitions were written about in numerous publications including The

New York Times; Art on Paper; and Art in America. In 2011, Sculpture published a review of Page’s

recent exhibition, Night Walk. Page has received artist fellowships from the Pollock Krasner Foundation

and the State of Florida, and was one of twelve international artists to receive the 2012 Individual Artist

Grant from the Gottlieb Foundation.

Paula Tognarelli is the Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography. She holds an M.S. in Arts Administration from Boston University, is a graduate of the New England School of Photography and is a current candidate for her Masters in Education at Lesley University. She has juried and curated exhibitions internationally including American Photo's Image of the Year and the Lishui International Photography Festival in Lishui, China. She is a regular participant in national and local portfolio reviews, and featured speaker at photography events and conferences including MacWorld, Boston and the Seybold Conferences. She has been a panelist for the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Photography Fellowships and is a nominator for the Prix Pictet in Geneva, Switzerland. She is a past member of the Xerox Technical Advisory Board and a current member of the advisory board of the New England School of Photography.
