Youth Art
Located on West Indiana Avenue, in the heart of historic downtown DeLand, the Festival creates an oasis of children’s activities, learning opportunities and family fun (see map for locations).
YOUTH ART EXHIBIT: It’s a show within a show! The rotunda of the Volusia County's Thomas C. Kelly Administration Building is the venue for an exhibition of promising student artists from public and private schools throughout Volusia County. Take some time to wander through this exhibition showcasing more than 1,200 examples of student art. It’s worth a visit!
HANDS-ON-ART WORKSHOPS: On the grounds of the Administration Building, girls and boys may create their own artwork in the Hands-on Area. Admission is free and participants may keep what they make. Projects will be offered by The Museum of Florida Art, The African American Museum of Art, and the Junior Service League of DeLand.
YOUTH PERFORMANCES: In the newly restored historic Athens Theatre, the Festival presents areas dedicated to performing arts experiences for children.
